LLC formed in Georgia later be conv to Nevada Corp?
If I form an LLC in Georgia, can it be converted to a Nevada corporation later on?
Yes, your existing Georgia corporation (LLC) can re converted (technical term is re-domiciled) to another state. The typical reason for such a conversion is to get tax advantages from the new location.
At one time Delaware was the most-used state for corporate registrations, but Nevada has recently changed its corporate tax structure in order to attract more corporate registrations.
Also, be aware that you don’t have to actually live in Nevada, or have any business operations there, in order to become a Nevada corporation. (You will need to file annual reports there, however.)
Good luck.
