What legal requirements are there to start a new church in Nevada?
I am attempting to form a new church as a branch of Christianity, and have little to no information about the legal needs. I know there is a minimum number of followers of the church before it can be a registered entity, but I don’t know how many for Nevada. there are specific tax forms too etc. I would also like to know what organizations or programs are available for land grants and mission funding for the start-up. Thanks

Although it NOT required to do so, most churches do file a tax exemption status, “Form 1023 (501c3) with the IRS. It serves to legitimize your organization, lend you creditibilty and spare you harassment.
