I’ve filed a lawsuit against a Nevada LLC but their address is bogus. What should I do?
I’ve filed a lawsuit against a Nevada Limited Liability Company which is operating primarily online. The process server attempted to serve them today, but their business address is a UPS mailbox store. Furthermore, it looks like they may not be a valid LLC at all. I have two employees names and possible addresses. What should I do? Do I have to re-file the lawsuit against the individual employees, or should I press on with the lawsuit, get a judgement, and then go after the employees?
I’ve checked the Secretary of State website and have located another entity acting as their registered agent. Are these the people I should serve?
Check with the secretary of state. If the organization is a Nevada organization, they have listed someone authorized to receive service and service at that place will be effective.
