I live in CA and am starting an LLC Corp. I want to know where best to incorporate, my state or another?
I have read that Nevada, which is very close to California, is a good place to incorporate a business based on tax benefits and overall user-friendly laws for small businesses in that state. But I also have read of complications with the California Franchise Tax Board for doing so. Any suggestions, words of wisdom or personal experience anybody can offer to me? I would be most appreciative.
The best place to create a limited liability corporation in the U.S. is Delaware. But to do so you will need to maintain an address there.
If your main residence or office is in California it would be impossible to get the tax and corporate benefits available to corporations headquartered in Delaware.
